Breakfast

Whole Wheat Toast with Avocado Slices and Fried Egg

This is a simple breakfast; but then again, simplicity is best when it comes to healthy eating.

I toasted a piece of whole wheat bread, topped it with avocado slices, fried egg, a pinch of sea salt and ground black pepper, and enjoyed every bite.

It was the perfect breakfast for a busy morning.




Snack

These are delicious. With earthy grains, healthy nuts and sweets like dark chocolate and toasted coconut, KIND bars are pleasurable and satisfying. In tightly-packaged bars, they're awesome snacks on-the-go. You can enjoy them at the playground, during work, on flights...basically, anywhere.

By the way, my kids like them too--and we all like that.

Zucchini Parmesan Crisps (by Damn Delicious)

I found these on a wonderful recipes blog called Damn Delicious. Do pay it a visit when you have time. The author posts inventive, tasty and healthy recipes that take little effort to do.

These zucchini park crisp are quick and easy as well, requiring only a few ingredients and 25 minutes. Plus, don't they look mouthwatering?

Dinner

Chicken Soba Noodle Bowl (from Panera Bread)

Soba noodle is extremely healthy. It's made from buckwheat flour and is abundant in manganese, which quickly converts food into energy and antioxidant enzymes.

Soba noodle is also lower in calories than other grain, including wheat. In diet meal plans, it's an excellent alternative to pasta.

Lunch

Chicken Caesar salad

Grilled chicken sliced into tender bites over a bed of lush romaine and sprinkled with real Parmesan cheese. This is one healthy lunch--and it's delicious too.

Diet Meal Plan 17

Breakfast

Whole wheat toast with hard boiled egg slices topped with dry herbs and spices


The combination of protein and healthy grain is a wonderful idea for breakfast. To save time, I boiled and sliced the eggs the night before, reducing the next morning's prep time to less than five minutes. The addition of dry herbs and spices (I used dill, paprika, sea salt, pepper and red pepper flakes by the way) gave eggs a flavorful kick. To lower calories even more, I recommend that you rid of the egg yolks. 

You should absolutely give this breakfast idea this a try. It was fantastic.


Snack

Cucumber and all natural ham sandwich with green tea


Lunch

Dragon bowl

If you haven't had a dragon bowl, you must. It's light, delicious and tasteful. Plus it takes little time to prepare. It's vegan- and gluten-free and overall fantastic for the health- and weight-conscious crowd.

Baked pear with blue cheese, craisins and nuts, topped with drizzles of honey.

Honey Mustard Chicken Broil with Steamed Vegetable

This easy healthy dinner recipe was easy-to-do and delicious. The honey mustard sauce tasted tangy and sweet, and worked well with scruptious chicken breast. With a side of steamed vegetable, this was a protein-filled and veggie-induced dinner.
